AR/VR Developer on Fixed Contract - Urgent Hiring
Augmented and Virtual reality will transform the way people come together to work and play. By developing new hardware and software products capable of understanding human appearance, movement and expression, we aim to make it possible for seafarers to train onboard of a vessel presenting a significant advantage over simulator training centres or traditional classrooms. As a AR/VR Developer, you will develop AR and VR training course as well as marketing materials for our company. You will collaborate with highly diverse teams, threading together newly developed technologies to create intuitive experiences that enhance people’s experience of the world around them. The ideal candidate is a software engineer with experience in 3D, AR, VR, MR or computer vision using for example physics simulation or computer graphics technologies. You will bring together innovative design with new technologies (related to 3D applications and games). You have a passion for computer graphics, virtual or augmented reality and enjoy rapid iterative development for products or research. We are currently working with the Microsoft HoloLens2, so the candidate must be familiar how to code and work on this particular device.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with 3D designer and other artists/consultants and attend meetings to discuss ongoing projects and deadlines
- Write well-designed, innovative, and efficient code
- Correct errors by reassessing and making the appropriate changes to deliver desired results
- Conduct trial runs of programs & software applications to ensure their success
- Maintain documentation for work processes and training
- Proficiency in creating VR content with the available resources
- Be accountable for the revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to maximize operating efficiency or adjust to new requirements
- Make an interactive 3D platform for demo and training purposes
- Troubleshooting any problems that arise during work on a project
Requirements:
- 3+ years of industry experience
- Have a strong portfolio of previous work and completed projects
- Strong experience in building VR applications with an emphasis on performance and robustness
- Knowledge and experience with languages like Python (Programming Language), C (Programming Language), C++, C#, HTML, Unity, Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Microsoft Office, etc. Experience with using MDM systems to manage Headsets.
- Made products for at least one VR headset.
- Knowledge and experience in operating Microsoft HeloLens2 and MagicLeap
- Web VR experience
- Practical knowledge of 3D programming
- 3D Modelling & Video Editing experience
- Practical understanding of 3D mathematics
- Ability to think creatively and produce new concepts or ideas.
- Ability to be proactive with problem-solving through assessment, research, and resolve.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks at once.
